The legendary doctor from Battalion 66 of the paratroopers treated dozens of injured and killed soldiers, but when he arrived at the Western Wall and was called to help a Muslim woman give birth, he didn't hesitate for a second. Assisting him was Eric Bauckman, who remembers every detail. Now, more than 50 years later, Bauckman reveals more details about the event that was almost undocumented and shares its emotional and unexpected ending.

Yitzhak Rabin, the Chief of Staff during the Six-Day War, was asked to summarize the conflict. While those close to him expected phrases of victory, Rabin used seven words: "From Hashem this has come; it is wondrous in our eyes."

Major General (res.) Shai Gavish, Southern Command leader during the Six-Day War, shares how divine assistance bolstered the fighters: "I felt it's a vital part of a soldier's willingness to fulfill his mission."

On this day, August 26, 52 years ago, the Khartoum Conference took place, where Arab nations defined their foreign policy after the Six-Day War.

He didn't participate in the liberation of Jerusalem, nor did he receive permission to reach the Western Wall immediately after it was captured in the Six-Day War. But ultimately, he took the risk, reached the Wall, and witnessed moments he will never forget. An interview with Yehuda Rabinovitz, 71, who recalls: "The holiday clothes got dirty, but no one cared."

Today marks 52 years since the paratroopers captured the Old City and reached the Western Wall.

Tzigi Karsenti, appearing in the famous Wall photo, recalls the harrowing fight that led to the liberation of the Western Wall. "We fought and stepped over bodies, losing comrades along the way, until we found ourselves before the Western Wall."
