Anyone who studies the Talmud knows the "page layout"—the format where the central text is surrounded by Rashi and Tosafot commentaries, which has been the default in every edition of the Babylonian Talmud for centuries. But few know that the designer of this "page layout" was neither a rabbi, a yeshiva student, nor even Jewish.

Rabbi Yaakov HaLevi from Mirevelles was a scholarly sage and one of the Tosafists. Yet, remarkably, he had the gift of kabbalistic wisdom and was able to ask questions in Jewish Law from the heavens and receive answers.

The tradition of gathering sacred dust has roots that trace back through history, intertwining with the spiritual practices noted by our sages.

Rabbenu Tam's interpretations form the foundational basis for all Tosafot collections, alongside his notable work, "Sefer HaYashar," a two-part compilation of responsa and Talmudic interpretations.
