Until what time can I pray Shacharit?
Question
Hello, until what time can I pray Shacharit in the morning? Sometimes during summer vacation, I wake up late and I don't know if I can still pray Shacharit. Thank you.
Answer
Hello, ideally, Shacharit should be prayed until the end of the fourth hour of the day. If you didn't manage to pray by then, you may pray until midday, but this is considered praying "not at its time." You should check the local times for your area, as they change daily and by location. If you pray after the fourth hour, you should not recite the blessings of Kriyat Shema, which are "Yotzer Or," "Ahava Rabba," and "Ga'al Yisrael."
