Shoshana, or erysipelas, is an inflammation of the dermis layer of the skin, typically caused by bacteria that are usually present on our skin. The symptoms of shoshana include a high fever, chills, headache, and general weakness within 48 hours following initial infection, along with a red inflammatory rash appearing within a day, caused by a bacterium that exists on our skin. (Please do not confuse this with the Jericho rose, which is caused by a parasite transmitted through a sandfly bite.)

So, why does the inflammation suddenly appear? When the skin on the leg is breached by cracks, scratches, fungus, etc., the bacteria enter the body and begin cleaning it from the inside, but only if there's something to clean! That is, an acidic body due to excess sugar, animal products, stress, radiation, and more, provides the conditions for these bacteria to multiply and clean. Once the bacteria finish cleaning (provided that only water is consumed during the initial days of fever), the inflammation resolves on its own. However, if people continue to eat normally during the outbreak of shoshana and fever, it doesn't end, and it may even worsen to the point of needing antibiotics and hospitalization.

So what is important to know? If you want this cleansing (inflammation) process to end quickly, you have to stop poisoning the body for a few days to a few weeks (depending on the case), and then full recovery happens. From our extensive experience, these are the necessary actions for full recovery at home:

1. During the fever (and with any illness), it's best and healthiest to drink mineral water and herbal teas for rapid recovery (the Creator made a mechanism of no hunger during fever. Listen to it). This can take 1-3 days, with the fever dropping by one degree each day on average without Tylenol (which harms recovery), provided no eating takes place. If hungry, drink the food: a diluted fruit smoothie or pureed vegetable soup.

2. When the fever starts to drop, gradually begin to chew food: fruits, vegetable salads, and soups. Slowly return to a normal and healthy diet.

3. There may be severe pain for a few seconds when getting up from sitting (usually lasts two days), due to the inflammation in the calf pulling the tissue. It's advisable to elevate the leg on the couch every few hours.

4. It's highly recommended to incorporate essential dietary supplements from the first moment of the fever. Vitamin C should be taken every few hours in a dosage of at least 1000 mg (if diarrhea occurs, you've reached an excess of Vitamin C). Additionally, it's recommended to take Vitamin D in a dosage of at least 8000 units per day.
