A 20-year-old resident of Rehovot, the daughter of a well-known actor, filed a complaint last night (Tuesday) at the Rehovot police station against a minority resident of the territories she was in contact with.

According to her story, the minority resident, whom she met during work, threatened her life. "He knows where I live and threatened several times to beat me and kidnap me to Ramallah," she said in fear, adding she experienced violence from him. "We were in some kind of relationship," she described. "He got my phone number from one of my coworkers and started talking to me. Initially, I didn't want to, but then we had hour-long conversations, and I would sleep at his place. One night I slept there, he raised his hand and hit me. This happened early last Sunday. I was asleep, he had an alarm clock, I woke him up, and he slapped me. He knows where I live, and I went to file a police complaint yesterday because I'm afraid he'll do something to me.

"Our relationship lasted a month. Since last Sunday, we spoke a little on the phone, and that was it. I forgave him for that, but then I realized I shouldn’t have forgiven him. He chased after me; I left, and he threatened me that if I spoke out, he wouldn't talk to me, and bad things would happen," the young woman added.

At the end of the hearing, the young woman received a protection order, and next week he will be required to appear in court to address her claims against him.

The online community did not remain indifferent upon hearing about the case, and commented: "'But he was nice at first,' she will probably say, like all those who fall into these hard places. Understand, naivety, it's all a game."

Another user wrote: "I will never understand. Aren't there enough good Jewish boys? Why look in foreign fields? What does a Jewish girl have to do with Ramallah? Probably not watching the news. All the attacks happening, may Hashem have mercy on His people Israel. Holy daughters of Hashem, why go to Shechem son of Hamor? I still cry today over a case I personally know. Why, why, why?"

Another user reacted to the girl’s statement that she had slept in his home. The commenter expressed disappointment and concern about the situation, urging young Jewish girls to understand their value and not get themselves into these life-threatening situations. A different user added that such choices create extremely complex and unsafe circumstances, urging young women to prioritize their own well-being and avoid such situations that may put them at risk.

To sum up, girls, always remember your worth and dignity. You are a daughter of a king! Make choices that honor who you are, protect your well-being, and keep you safe.
