In Parshat V’Zot HaBerachah, the final portion of the Torah, Moshe Rabbeinu blesses each of the twelve tribes before his passing. After blessing the nation, Moshe ascends Mount Nevo, sees the entire Land of Israel, and peacefully returns his soul to God. The Torah ends with the words: “There never again arose a prophet like Moshe, whom God knew face to face.” On Simchat Torah, we celebrate this moment by immediately beginning again with Bereshit – “In the beginning.” The Torah never ends – it lives with us forever.
