#VALUE!
Dandruff is dead skin collected on the scalp. Dead skin cells naturally shed throughout life. As long as the phenomenon is not severe – it's okay, but when cells multiply and accumulate excessively, it becomes bothersome.
Dandruff is caused by stress, and mainly by yeast fungus called 'Malassezia.' Dandruff is a metabolic product of the fungus. Another reason is obesity, which weakens the immune system.
First, try simple and natural methods with available materials: Rosemary oil stimulates blood flow to the scalp and helps nourish sensitive skin. You can massage the scalp with ground flax seeds before shampooing or add three drops of tea tree oil to the shampoo. This oil is especially good at treating fungi. Wash as usual (careful with the eyes).
You can add two drops of tea tree oil to olive or coconut oil, apply and wait for half an hour, then shampoo. Cold-pressed coconut oil is antifungal. In situations where hair is dry, the oil will add moisture and prevent dandruff. Cold-pressed olive oil is rich in antioxidants and improves moisture. It will be good for relief when dandruff appears. Apply to the scalp, leave overnight – and in the morning, shampoo.
You can also use baking soda, an inexpensive and available product. Add a teaspoon of baking soda to your shampoo, massage the scalp well, and wait two minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
Processed foods, inflammation-inducing, like white sugar, pastries, fried foods, and more, are known to increase fungi, and will cause an increase in dandruff. Avoidance will bring improvement and relief.
An essential fatty acid important for general health and skin health, in particular, is Omega 3. You'll find it in walnuts, avocados, flaxseeds, and fish that grow in the sea. Add berries to your daily diet, which contain antioxidants.
Apple cider vinegar: Make sure there are no open wounds on the scalp to prevent burning and pain. Take half a cup of water with half a cup of apple cider vinegar, apply to the scalp for a few minutes, and then rinse with water. Vinegar fights fungi and cleanses.
Washing with very hot water is not good for the hair and will cause dryness and increase dandruff. Shampoo containing the foaming agent SLS increases dandruff, so try to find shampoo without SLS.
