What is Health, Really? How to Preserve Your Well-being
To tackle diseases and primarily to prevent them, we need a shift in mindset and lifestyle habits. Health is a natural state. Let's keep it that way.

#VALUE!
Most people I've asked what health is have replied that it's "the absence of illness."
We spend the majority of our time fighting diseases and less time exploring how we might prevent illness in the first place.
Maimonides, in the Book of Knowledge, writes: "Maintaining a healthy and sound body is part of the ways of Hashem." Human health is a natural state. Illness is a disruption of natural laws.
Maimonides says: "A person should distance themselves from things that harm the body." Anything disrupting natural laws will disturb our reality and cause illness. The key principle is not to interfere with natural health. When such disruption occurs, natural healing is possible—that is, not to interfere with the body's healing powers and let them do their job. We need to provide the body with good conditions to facilitate healing, including peace of mind, fresh air, rest, sunlight, and proper nutrition.
Another principle Maimonides stresses is that the healer's role is to guide the patient towards balance, but the responsibility and control over our bodies rests with us. It's about returning to the natural state of health and understanding that healing powers are inherent within every cell of our body because health is naturally within us.
Sometimes, medication is necessary, but in most cases, it is worth trying natural methods before automatically turning to drugs.
The root of many illnesses is primarily the accumulation of toxins—a result of the body's inability to expel waste due to overload. This could be due to nicotine, polluted air, constipation, and more.
Our blood composition relies on the nutrients we provide. When the body receives quality nutrients, it can defend against disease more effectively. Nutrients support cleansing and rebuilding in states of illness.
Excess stress on the nervous system, such as fatigue, negative emotions, worries, and anger, can impair the functioning of body systems.
It's important to understand that natural healing occurs when we remove the true cause. Medications and pain relievers do not heal the problem—they treat the symptom.
To tackle diseases and primarily to prevent them, we need a shift in mindset and lifestyle habits to make "health" clear and palpable in our bodies.
