Exercise plays a crucial role in maintaining health. Many people eat healthy foods but don't bother to exercise regularly.

Numerous studies highlight the contribution of physical activity to quality of life and longevity. Moving helps with proper digestion, absorption of nutrients in the intestines, and good blood flow. It reduces the risk of developing heart diseases; boosts mood by releasing dopamine and serotonin, hormones that impact our mood; improves cognitive functions such as planning and concentration; builds bone and prevents osteoporosis; strengthens muscles; enhances lung capacity, thereby aiding in better breathing.

Exercise boosts the body's immunity and protects against inflammation. However, excessive exercise could weaken the immune system's ability to combat bacteria.

Physical activity positively affects blood sugar levels. Muscles become more sensitive to insulin, meaning the pancreas doesn't have to work hard to maintain normal blood sugar levels.

Exercise should be an essential part of every healthy person's routine. Many of us don't enjoy working out or have a hard time finding enjoyable physical activities. The challenge is to find the types of activities that you can incorporate into your lifestyle. Activities can be simple and modest, like getting off the bus one stop earlier or parking the car further away and walking. You could take the stairs instead of the elevator. Find activities you can do without significantly changing your schedule.

Consider what time of day you prefer to exercise. Just as some of us think more clearly in the mornings while others focus better at night, some prefer to exercise early in the day, while others prefer to do it later. There is no right or wrong, it's a matter of personal preference.

Even small efforts have benefits, but it's better to increase the duration of activity. As the quantity of activity increases, so does the level of protection against diseases (not referring to competitive sports). It's about quality time and a worthwhile investment. Find a routine that replenishes you regularly.
