Cornflakes with Milk and Blessings

AA

Question

Hello, esteemed rabbi, when I bless cornflakes for which the blessing is *mezonot*, does that also cover the milk under the principle of primary and secondary, or do I need to bless *shehakol* on the milk as well? Thank you very much

Answer

Wishing you joyous occasions,

Generally, the blessing for the cornflakes is either *adamah* or *shehakol* (those produced by 'Telma' have the blessing of *shehakol*, while those made by 'Kellogg's' have the blessing of *adamah*), and one should bless only the cornflakes since they are the primary item and the milk is secondary to them.
