Get a unique look at the vistas from space: NASA provides rare glimpses of views from the International Space Station, this time in 3D. Why 3D, you ask? NASA explains that the radiation in the space station damages regular cameras every few months. However, 3D cameras, costing $21,000 each, have survived for three years. To watch these videos, you'll need special glasses with blue and red lenses.
In a video released by the agency, viewers are treated to an experiment aimed at exploring the pressure on fluids in microgravity. The video shows astronauts at the space station placing a GOPRO camera inside a floating water bubble in the weightlessness of the station. NASA promises that these are only the first videos in a series of 3D recordings they plan to release soon.
