Police worldwide are alerting the public about a new tactic used by thieves to steal cars and valuable items. Reports indicate that thieves mainly target parking lot cars using a simple trick. They place an empty plastic bottle on the passenger side tire of the car, making it hard for the driver to notice, and then wait nearby.

Once the driver starts to move, they hear strange noises, caused by the bottle being crushed. The driver then stops and exits the vehicle to investigate, giving the thieves their chance.

When the driver steps out, the thieves have access to the unlocked car and can grab valuable items. If the key is left in the ignition, they might even drive off with the vehicle.

A video circulating online, with over 7 million views, features a young citizen warning about this new method, demonstrating how the scheme works and urging others to share this important information.
