Is there an obligation to eat meat on Shabbat?
There is no obligation from a halachic perspective to eat meat on Shabbat, since there is no obligation of joy (simcha) on Shabbat. Nevertheless, one who can afford to buy meat for Shabbat should do so. One should increase consumption of meat, wine, and cooked dishes according to their ability, and in every place people should enjoy foods and drinks that are considered pleasurable to them [Yalkut Yosef, Shabbat volume 1, page 5].
Is there an obligation to eat fish on Shabbat?
It is proper to eat fish on Shabbat. If possible, one should eat fish at each Shabbat meal, or at the very least during the first and third meals. One who does not enjoy the taste of fish is not obligated to force themselves to eat fish on Shabbat, because Shabbat was given for pleasure, not for distress. [Yalkut Yosef, Shabbat volume 1, page 7].
