New Study Finds: What Two Tablespoons of Honey a Day Will Do to Your Body (Hint: It's Not What You Think)

#VALUE!
What will happen to your body if you consume two tablespoons of honey a day? Now even science admits that honey works wonders in the body, and if you haven't started integrating it into your diet yet, you should start.
A new study conducted at the University of Toronto found a link between balancing blood sugar levels and daily honey consumption.
The study, whose results were published in a scientific journal called Nutrition Reviews, found that although honey contains about 80 percent sugar, it is excellent for diabetics. "These results are really surprising," says Tausif Khan, one of the lead researchers from the university's Faculty of Medicine.
According to him, honey also contains other compounds that are 'bioactive' - meaning biologically active substances that affect living tissues. "People think that 'sugar is sugar', and they stay away from honey, which is simply not true," explains Prof. John Sionpiper, a nutrition science expert who was also part of the study. "Our results show that we need to categorize differently the white sugar and the sugars found in honey. Certainly, this is also related to how honey is processed, and there are types where white sugar is added. This is not the type we're discussing here."
He also adds that the study does not intend to encourage unlimited honey consumption, but "rather as a replacement for white sugar or maple syrup and the like, which are full of white sugar. The alternative of honey has proven itself among all the participants in the study - 1,100 people in total, as beneficial. Even if you use flower honey like clover and robinia, it is still better than white sugar, but our recommendation is pure bee honey."
What Two Tablespoons of Honey a Day Will Do for Your Body (assuming you are healthy and do not suffer from any physical ailments):
Active Combat Against Cancer Cells
As published in another study in a journal called 'Molecules' - honey is cytotoxic, which means it contains a chemical that destroys cells it 'identifies' as sick, such as cancer cells or other tumors. The amazing thing here is that the substance also knows how to 'identify' healthy cells, and it stays away from them.
Healing Intestinal and Stomach Inflammations
Honey is not only effective for healing external wounds but also effective in healing intestinal inflammations and stomach issues.
Balancing Blood Sugar Levels
An imbalance in blood sugar levels leads to general body weakness, but as found in the study discussed in this article - honey contributes greatly to strengthening and balancing blood sugar levels, as it 'unites forces' between fructose and glucose.
