A fitness coach and social media personality, crowned by millions in Australia as a 'health guru,' decided to take on a challenge posed to him by his fans: to eat junk food for a whole month, to show his followers its destructive results.
Every day, the coach—Conan Weiser—uploaded a new video to social media, documenting his daily meals, which included fried chicken and a lot of fries. For an entire month, his meals consisted solely of junk food. "I thought I loved this food and could eat it forever," said Weiser. "For a whole month, I ate only deep-fried chicken, fries, mashed potatoes, and hamburgers."
Although he worked out twice a day and continued his fitness routine alongside the junk food, it didn’t help much.
Now he reveals the grim reality this month led to: "It started with intestinal pain and ongoing constipation. I gained a kilo every three days and it severely affected my liver and kidneys," he recounts.
But that wasn’t all.
Weiser also reveals terrible feelings that arose in him, feelings he hadn't experienced in a long time. "The liver damage and drastic weight gain weren’t my biggest damages from this month, but rather the mental feelings that surfaced. I felt my mental state deteriorated day by day, I was depressed, and almost nothing made me happy. This diet even made me lose the motivation to exercise. I felt bad about myself, and after years of not feeling that way, suddenly 'demons' from the time when I was overweight came back to me."
Luckily, the challenge ended after a month, and he 'vowed' never to harm his body that way again. "It took me a week just to cleanse my body of all the toxins that accumulated. For an entire week, I drank only water, and only then could I return to healthy eating once my blood was clean. I'm glad the stomach pains and severe intestinal symptoms I experienced disappeared."
