Hemorrhoids are an indescribable pain, period.

Anyone who has suffered from them will testify they are willing to do anything to avoid that unbearable burning sensation. If you're one of those people who occasionally suffer from this painful phenomenon, you must read and save this article.

First, let's start with the don'ts - which you have to remember:

1. Never, ever, sit for an entire hour without getting up and stretching. Among other reasons, prolonged sitting can lead to hemorrhoids or increase the frequency of pain.

2. While schnitzel and fries are a staple in many kitchens, if you suffer from hemorrhoids, you must completely avoid fried foods.

3. Contrary to some beliefs, not only spicy foods may cause hemorrhoids, but even allergies to certain types of food.

4. Don't say we didn't warn you about sugar: sugar-rich foods encourage the development and exacerbation of hemorrhoids.

5. Yes, you've heard this a million times, but you might not feel like making this change: caffeine. Reduce it as much as possible from your daily consumption, as it makes hemorrhoids occur more frequently.

Remember this list of foods to avoid. Although it's only a partial list, these foods are more likely to cause hemorrhoids:

Wheat products, citrus fruits and summer fruits, tomatoes, cow's milk and its products, peanuts.

The do's are:

1. Start daily physical activity and don't skip it. Even a half-hour walk every day will benefit you in the long run.

2. Incorporate these foods into your daily consumption: Chinese cabbage, sweet potato, soybeans, and celery.

3. Start consuming foods high in dietary fiber and drink plenty of water alongside.

4. What to do if the pain has already surprised you and arrived? One well-known home remedy for treating hemorrhoids is to use ice, as it constricts blood vessels. Wrap an ice cube in a piece of cloth and place it on the painful area for fifteen minutes. Repeat the process as needed, even several times a day. At the same time, drink several glasses of water, as water helps relieve the pain and stops the bleeding.
