Is it permissible to create a savings plan for the future?

Someone who has reached a true level of faith can cast all their needs upon Hashem, who will support them in times of difficulty and provide for their livelihood and necessities in miraculous ways. However, ordinary people who have not reached such a level of faith should make practical efforts and conduct themselves according to natural means. Therefore, there is no prohibition against opening a savings plan for the future [Shevet HaLevi 4:1]. Similarly, it is permissible for a person to purchase life insurance, and this does not indicate a lack of faith in Hashem [Yechaveh Da'at 3:85].
