#VALUE!
The American magazine Healthy Living, featuring articles by top experts in various health fields, recently published a special article for diabetics, identifying five foods that significantly balance sugar levels.
The first is kale - one of the most important and nutritious superfoods available, rich in lutein and carotenoids. Diabetics are more prone to developing eye problems and diseases as a complication of the disease. Carotenoids are known to be particularly beneficial for eye health, and when combined with the many dietary fibers present in kale, you have a winning formula for regulating and controlling blood sugar levels.
The second food is nuts - walnuts, pecans, and cashews improve blood sugar control, especially in Type 2 diabetes. The active compounds in nuts increase the elasticity of artery walls, preventing blood clots that can occur due to high sugar levels.
The third food is blueberries and berries - these fruits are rich in antioxidants known as anthocyanins, substances that, according to recent studies, lower the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
The fourth food is - believe it or not - dark chocolate: Just as in Russia, for example, children are less likely to catch the flu because they are exposed to the cold from an early age, similarly, dark chocolate helps treat Type 2 diabetes and improves insulin sensitivity. However, excessive consumption is not recommended, as chocolate can also lead to weight gain due to its calorie and fat content.
The fifth food is beans: the dietary fibers in beans reduce the risk of heart disease and aid in diabetes treatment by providing a feeling of fullness and slowing the release of glucose into the bloodstream.
