Prayer is above everything!!

Praying to the Creator for the health of the body and mind is exceedingly important!! There are many stories of people who were saved only through prayer.

During the biblical period, Hezekiah, King of Israel (who was from the root of the Messiah's soul) hid the Book of Cures (a book containing cures for every illness) because he saw in his holy spirit that if a person became ill and found a cure for his illness in the Book of Cures, he would not draw closer to his creator and would forget to pray. Therefore, King Hezekiah redeemed prayer from exile by hiding the book. Apparently, in this generation, there is a challenging phenomenon where many of us rush to various methods of natural and conventional medicine (and I'm not underestimating therapists or doctors, heaven forbid). Along the way, we pray a little and seek salvation among therapists and doctors. It is necessary to change this order and invest more in prayer and solitude, and less in spending our money on therapists and doctors. As Rabbi Nachman of Breslov teaches: "When prayer is redeemed, all medicines fall as mentioned above, because they are healed through the word of Hashem... and then all doctors are ashamed of their medicines, because no medicine has power, as all the herbs return their power into prayer, which is the word of Hashem, their supreme root..." (R. Nachman, Likutei Moharan, Part II, Teaching A, 11).

Our holy teacher says that when a person prays to his creator for healing, it is the greatest and most powerful thing beyond all the simple medicines of our world. If people could see with their soul's eye (which is greatly concealed beneath the physical body) the magnitude of prayer's power, they would only pray all day and stop rushing to this or that doctor to find a cure!! "I, Hashem, am your healer..." Then all doctors would be ashamed of the vast power of Hashem compared to the scant knowledge they accumulated in just a few decades here on earth! With Hashem's help, that future is not far from us and our righteous Messiah will reveal to us that truly this is the case: Prayer, prayer, and prayer! Thus he will conquer the world. That will be his weapon. We have no one to rely on except our Father in heaven.

It is desirable that our path as Jews be one of preventing suffering as much as possible and anticipating harmful events (.."take good care of your souls..") How? When an illness has not yet manifested in the body and is hidden and incubating, known only to the Creator, Rabbi Nachman of Breslov states: "And at the beginning of the growth of the illness, before it has grown and revealed itself, they could have easily healed it, but then it was hidden and concealed from everyone and known only to Hashem alone. But when they grasp the aspect of the word of Hashem, the aspect of prayer as mentioned, then they receive healing from all things in the world, even from bread and water... I, Hashem, am your healer... so the illness shall not manifest at all, for it will be healed already at the stage of its growth... for through the word of Hashem one can be healed always with everything in the world..." (ibid). Explanation: When there is a hidden illness in a person which has not yet shown its signs in his body, it is possible to heal it through prayer even before it manifests. Prayer is above all and stronger than any medicine!!

What is Pidyon Nefesh?

Pidyon Nefesh can redeem a person from any distress and trouble (in all areas) and from any blemish and illness!! In the Kabbalistic writings, it is known as one of the greatest rectifications capable of benefiting and removing harsh decrees from a person, canceling judgments, and opening one's fortune towards health, healing, success, etc., is Pidyon Nefesh. The advantage of this rectification is that it is a remedy for the entire body of the person from head to toe, in both body and soul, and for the other spiritual levels of the soul. The essence of Pidyon Nefesh is the sweetening of judgments accomplished through prayer and the study of the righteous according to Kabbalistic intentions, as hinted by our teacher Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, as mentioned in the holy books.

Pidyon Nefesh is the spiritual act that releases a person from heavenly decree (judgment)! Most people of the world, in times of trouble, engage in and pursue numerous efforts and chases after cures, medicines, amulets, tricks, etc., when troubles and sufferings fall upon them. However, we need to precede prayer and Pidyon Nefesh before the trouble so that the efforts, fortune, spiritual channels, and divine assistance will precede and bless all our actions. Therefore, it is good to perform Pidyon Nefesh at all times, even with pennies, before different, bizarre judgments and decrees are imposed on a person. We can deduce from this that it is certainly obligatory to perform Pidyon Nefesh when seeking salvation or healing for an existing illness: "Because truly after the sweetening and redemption, then it is actually good to heal the patient through medicines, for then exactly, after the redemption and sweetening, the doctor has permission to heal... They decree above that he will be healed by a certain medicine, through a certain person, on a certain day" (R. Nachman, Likutei Moharan, Part II, Teaching G).

Place money between both palms, right hand above left (kindness above judgment) and say this version for the person who needs salvation or healing. Remember to donate the money to charity or to the dissemination of holy books. It is advisable to conduct the Pidyon Nefesh in daylight when someone else does it for you!!!

How to perform the redemption:

The giver of the redemption donates from his money to charity, places both his hands over the money, and reads the redemption (another person) places his hand over the money, connects himself to Rabbi Nachman, and says the following formula:

Money, and the existence at their feet

Righteousness will call to his foot, Righteousness of the Holy Kingdom

The law of the kingdom is law

The root of judgments is understanding, I understand, I have strength

Judgment is sweetened only at its root.
