Sometimes all it takes is creativity and 'out of the box' thinking to solve challenges like a thorn in a child's foot. A mother recently faced this situation and came up with an ingenious idea that, once shared online, garnered over 100,000 shares and likes — and for good reason.

"Most parents faced with this situation immediately rush to find tweezers," explains Claire Bolan-Jones in a post that quickly went viral. "I used to do the same countless times until I realized the harm outweighed the benefit, and I was not only hurting my child but also reducing the already slim chance of ever finding that stray thorn."
The last time her daughter complained about a thorn in her foot, Claire thought of a satisfactory solution and devised the following revolutionary idea: "I took a simple syringe that I had at home, something every parent should have. I cut the protruding tip in such a way that only the hole remained and pressed it to the painful area where the thorn had entered.
"Then, with one pull of the syringe, the thorn was instantly sucked out and removed. If it doesn't work for you the first time, repeat the action several times and you'll see it works."
