Butter lovers? This study will make you happy: A recent study reveals that traditional butter, which has so far been linked with various ailments and considered high in fat, is not as harmful to health as previously thought.
Moreover, the study, conducted at Tufts University in Boston, shows that it may protect the body against type 2 diabetes.
According to the researchers, the recommended way to consume butter, as long as it is of high quality, is on a fresh slice of bread, and it is even allowed in baking. It is not likely, as previously thought, to cause various chronic diseases like heart disease.
However, the researchers qualify their statements by claiming it is still not defined as a healthy product but is considered "in the middle" nutritionally. That is, it is preferable to sugar but worse than olive oil. Therefore, it should be consumed in a controlled and balanced manner.
