#VALUE!
If one cooks and prepares everything needed for Shabbat before the holiday, is an Eruv required?
It is proper and correct that even one who prepares all their needs before the holiday should place an Eruv Tavshilin, since there is an obligation to light candles from the second day of the holiday for Shabbat. And if one places an Eruv Tavshilin only for lighting candles, they should not recite the blessing, as we are lenient with doubtful blessings, but should only say "With this Eruv, it shall be permissible for us to light candles from the holiday for Shabbat" [Yalkut Yosef Siman 527].
After preparing Shabbat needs on the second day of the holiday, what should be done with the Eruv?
It is forbidden to cook or bake on the holiday unless the Eruv still exists. After preparing all Shabbat needs on the holiday, if desired, one may eat the bread and cooked dish of the Eruv, even on the holiday itself. However, it is better to eat it on Friday night, or during the third meal of Shabbat. [Yalkut Yosef Siman 527].
