If one is in the middle of the Amidah prayer on Rosh Hashanah, should they interrupt to hear the Shofar blasts?

One who is in the middle of the Amidah prayer and sees that the Shofar blower is about to sound the Shofar should pause until the completion of the Shofar blasts and then continue.

Similarly, one who is ahead in their prayer and reaches "Hayom Harat Olam" before the prayer leader should wait there until the Shofar blasts are completed [Yalkut Yosef Siman 590].

Is it permissible to bring children to hear the Shofar?

The congregation should be cautioned not to bring young children who might disrupt the Shofar blasts [Yalkut Yosef Siman 589].
