How should one conduct the shofar blasts during the Selichot prayers if they disturb the neighbors?
Some have the custom to blow the shofar sequences of Tekiah-Shevarim-Teruah-Tekiah, Tekiah-Shevarim-Tekiah, and Tekiah-Teruah-Tekiah during the recitation of the Thirteen Attributes of Mercy in the Selichot prayers. If this causes disturbance to neighbors' sleep, one should refrain from blowing the shofar. Similarly, those who customarily blow the shofar after the Half Kaddish at the conclusion of Selichot should refrain from doing so if it disturbs the neighbors. [Yalkut Yosef, Section 581].
