Essential Guidelines on Synagogue Modesty and Proper Separation Between Men and Women

AA

Is it permissible to pray in a synagogue where the women's section is not modest?

When building a synagogue, one must ensure that the women's section is modest in a way that men cannot see the women at all, and it is forbidden to pray in a synagogue where the women's section is immodest [Yalkut Yosef Section 21].

Similarly, one must ensure that the entrance and exit of the synagogue are separate for men and women, in order to prevent mixing during exit.
