Ideally, a person should engage in a clean profession that minimizes contact with women. However, if one has no other means of livelihood and is careful not to engage in excessive conversation, joking, or frivolity with women, one may be lenient [Responsa of the Rishon LeZion 2, p. 403].

Is it permissible for a woman to provide medical treatment to a man?

It is not permissible for a woman to treat a man and vice versa, except in cases of life-threatening situations or when no other doctor is available, in which case one should consult with a wise scholar [Responsa of the Rishon LeZion 2, p. 404].
