What are the conditions for reciting the Seven Blessings?
a. The Seven Blessings should only be recited if the meal is in the groom's house. The house of the groom's parents is not considered his house for this purpose [Yalkut Yosef p. 316].
b. The Seven Blessings should only be recited if there is a minyan of men above the age of mitzvot.
c. The Seven Blessings should only be recited if there are panim chadashot (new faces) [Yalkut Yosef p. 301].
Is it mandatory to eat bread in order to recite the Seven Blessings?
The Seven Blessings should not be recited unless the bride and groom have eaten a kazayit (olive-size portion) of bread. If they have not eaten a kazayit of bread, the Seven Blessings should not be recited [Yalkut Yosef p. 282].
Similarly, any guest who has not eaten a kazayit of bread is not permitted to recite any of the Seven Blessings during the meal [Yalkut Yosef p. 283].
