A Thought for Reflection: How Should We Act on the Day of Judgment Before Hashem
Our Rosh Hashanah versus the 'New Year's' of the Gentiles: What does Hashem truly expect from us on Rosh Hashanah?

#VALUE!
Rosh Hashanah is approaching.
On this day, we crown the Creator of the Universe as our King. On this day, it is appropriate to stand with awe and fear more than on any other holidays of the year. This is a day when each person is judged for their actions of the past year, and it is determined what will happen to them in the coming year in all areas of life, such as health, livelihood, and even life itself — whether they will continue to live or, Heaven forbid, die...
It is an incredibly powerful and moving day for anyone who understands that there is a Creator to the world!
Christians claim that God has abandoned us (Heaven forbid) and chose them. I wondered: if so, how do they celebrate their 'New Year' — what they call 'Sylvester'...
Christians celebrate and enjoy parties — alcohol, women, dancing, debauchery...
Christians mark their 'New Year' with a celebration of materialism, physicality, desire, instincts — all aspects that the Creator of the Universe detests. They have no moment of spirituality and elevation — no connection to the Creator of the Universe. However, for us Jews, Rosh Hashanah is a day of spiritual elevation. A day of rest. A day where we congregate in synagogues, bow our heads and pray to the Creator in tears and supplications, confess our sins, ask forgiveness for our transgressions, blow the shofar to awaken us to complete repentance, and hope for the Creator's mercy, that He will judge us favorably and grant us a good and happy life in the coming year.
So, in what way do you think it is appropriate to behave on the Day of Judgment before the Creator of the Universe? In what way does the Creator of the Universe expect us to behave? As Jews or as Christians?
Happy are we, 'who has not made us like the nations of other lands and has not placed us like the families of the earth'!
May we all be inscribed and sealed in the Book of Life, blessings, and peace, Amen!
