What Did the Atheist Say About Circumcising His Son? 5 Points to Ponder
How does the body regulate eating? How does a fetus develop in the womb? Is it obvious that the sun rises every day on time, and why is the world so focused on Israel when there are more pressing issues?

#VALUE!
I'm Full
My 7-year-old niece told me she was hungry, so I made her a meal as she requested. When she finished eating, she said, "That's it, I'm full." I jokingly told her, "Eat more, the more you eat, the less hungry you'll be for at least a week, and we'll have some peace from you "J. She replied, "But I'm not hungry anymore." I asked, "How did that happen all of a sudden? Just a few minutes ago you said you were really hungry!" She answered, "I don't know how to explain... leave me alone!"
So what exactly happened here? Let me explain: To prevent us from eating uncontrollably and burdens our body with more than it can handle, an incredible phenomenon occurs in our bodies each time we eat:
Once the stomach, which resembles a "bag," is filled with food to its capacity, or almost, a signal is automatically sent from the stomach to an area in the brain called the hypothalamus, and the signal says in layman's terms: "My dear, there's no more room here, make sure the person doesn't put more food in their mouth!"
The brain translates this signal into a feeling of satiety, and the person feels unable to eat more and refrains from eating further. This way, they do not overload their body with more than it can bear, and likewise avoid risks of obesity and diseases such as heart conditions, hypertension, and diabetes.
Without a doubt, humans were created with such wonderful wisdom and intelligence, with intricately coordinated and integrated systems, each organ in its suitable place, each element in precise dosage, each action at the appropriate timing...
A Metaphor and a Byword
I would appreciate if you can help me understand why the state of Israel receives so much "attention" from the nations of the world when there are "slightly" more important issues on the global agenda?
Why do they not deal with the accumulation of illegal missiles in the hands of Hezbollah in Lebanon? Why are they not troubled by the money and weapons Iran supplies to terror? Why do they not worry about defeating ISIS? Why do they not try to prevent Bashar Assad from continuing to massacre hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians? Why are they not concerned about North Korea's nuclear weapons?
Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle East. Israel stands at the forefront of innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological developments. Why are we being picked on? Where does all this hostility toward us come from? Is there another minority nation like the Jews, which is at the center of the world's attention, so frequently criticized and protested against?
This is hypocrisy! Israel is an island of stability in the most problematic region in the Middle East. So what does everyone want from us?
There is no doubt, this irrational phenomenon reveals the disconnection from reality in the world's treatment of the state of Israel. Yet it should not be surprising. The illogical can be explained by a prophecy written in the Bible: "You will become a horror, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples where Hashem will lead you" (Deuteronomy 28:37). The Creator of the world notes that among the Gentiles the name of Israel will be a "proverb" - they will always use the Jews as an example for something... (today we see that Israel is always cited as an example of something negative). "And a byword" - that the Gentiles will always speak of the Jewish people, that Israel will always be on the lips of the nations.
If so, what's the surprise? The Creator of the world and the architect of history promised - and fulfilled!
No Malfunctions!
Have you ever seen a product that doesn't malfunction? Every product has a limited lifespan, whether due to overuse, improper use, or its durability is limited to a certain timeframe. Have you ever had an electric product, like a refrigerator or a washing machine, that broke down or started malfunctioning? I assume so... Have you ever had your car break down or require maintenance to keep working? I assume so! Even people occasionally fall ill and need to be "repaired."
If I told you there exists a product that has never had any malfunctions, and with which I could guarantee you will never have any malfunctions in the future, you'd say to me "no way." But there is, and it is the... sun.
Observe, throughout all of history, there has never been a single instance where the sun "forgot" or "was late" to rise, shone but in a "weak" manner, or "got stuck" and did not set, delaying the arrival of night. We all know for certain that tomorrow morning the sun will shine on us again and set in the evening, there is no way there will be any malfunctions, it's an amazing wonder!
A single case recorded in history is in the book of Joshua, when Joshua prayed to the Hashem and requested: "Sun, stand still at Gibeon, and the moon at the Valley of Aijalon," so they could finish the war against the Gibeonites, and the sun stood still at his request. It was a special miracle.
And I haven't even mentioned the movement of the moon and stars, the Earth's orbit around the sun (year), Earth's rotation on its axis (day), and the moon's orbit around the Earth (month)... the seasons which always arrive on time, at a fixed schedule, all thanks to the precise and planned functioning of this vast celestial system that is beyond our understanding.
Who stands guard to ensure there are no malfunctions? Why don't we marvel at the fact that there are no "malfunctions" in the solar system? Why do we see the sunrise and sunset as trivial?
The Creator promised there wouldn't be a single breakdown, promised and fulfilled, as it is stated: "He has established them forever and ever; He gave a decree, and it shall not pass" (Psalms 148).
Fetal Development
Have you ever thought about the process of "creating" a fetus in the womb?
The creation of a fetus starts from a single cell. This cell divides into rapidly multiplying cells, and soon hundreds of different cells are formed.
Not much time passes, and the cell groups consolidate into layers, then to sheets and tubes. When the appropriate time comes they will be transferred to their suitable places. Some will turn into an eye exactly where the eye is meant to be, others into a heart - precisely at the spot reserved for the heart, and so on.
The sequence of appearance is precise and structures like veins and nerves appear exactly when they are needed, to support the organs as they gradually build and develop. Within four weeks, a tiny beating heart will have formed inside the fetus!
After just three months, the organs demand repeated responses from the developing brain...! And nine months later, twenty-five trillion (trillion = a thousand billion) cells are completed. Together they will become one entity that will jump, run, dance, think, speak, sing, and cry! It will constitute the greatest wonder in the entire cosmos and all of creation - a wonder named... human!
A single cell gives rise to so many cells, yet they all operate as one entity with wants, thoughts, and feelings!
Is this all a product of "luck" or "chance" alone? Can "random" genetic changes design such an incredibly complex process? Can an accident occurring in any system design an "unbelievable system"? Like it or not - it's the miracle of life.

"Irrational and Not by Chance"
Recently, I had the opportunity to engage in a "debate" with a unique atheist. The person is thoughtful and curious, his field of work - a social researcher. The debate was bizarre due to its extreme irrationality. Let me explain:
As a researcher, he sanctified science and empirical research, which, according to him, clearly prove that evolution is correct.
I asked him: "How can you believe in a theory that has no answer to the most basic question: how did life begin? How did everything start?"
"I don't have an answer for that," he replied.
I told him: "Then how do you build a theory and make grand statements when your "scientific" theory has no scientific answer for how everything began. If there is no Hashem (God forbid), how did an inanimate particle suddenly gain life? Is it logical for a chair to suddenly start moving by itself and decide it wants to become a table? On the other hand, if there is Hashem (and there is), then naturally He can create a person out of nothing, and He has no need for this ridiculous series of developments because He is omnipotent!"
He responded: "This isn’t a fundamental question for me, and if I and others don't know how to answer it, it doesn't mean there's a Hashem..."
I said to him: "You’re a curious person, you ask a lot of questions at work, you're interested and research, and suddenly when you reach the question addressing the mystery of life - a question with crucial importance to your life, your wife's, your children’s and your parents - you 'suddenly' become so indifferent?! How can that be? That doesn't fit you! This fundamental question should keep you up at night!"
I continued pressing: "After all, you deny the Torah and the Creator of the universe. If you had a son, would you perform a circumcision?"
He answered: "Of course, it's part of my belonging to the Jewish people, it's my children's and my entry ticket to the Jewish people."
I told him: "I understand your need for belonging. That is a psychological necessity for every person. But you deny everything. There's no Hashem. There's no Torah. If you want to be 'connected' to the Jewish people, choose an 'easy' mitzvah to perform from the Torah. Why not suffice with eating matzah or making *kiddush* to be part of Jewish folklore, to belong to the Jewish people? According to you, the Torah is just tales, so how can it occur to you to agree and perform a cruel, invasive cut on the body of a tiny, defenseless baby, on such a sensitive organ in his tiny body, when he's only 8 days old?! That's first-degree abuse!"
I went on, "As a denier, you're choosing the most extreme mitzvah from the Torah, for which, without belief in divine revelation and the truth of the Torah, there's no reason to fulfill. Any rational and sane denier would not consider performing such a 'barbaric' act, even if it were the most attractive membership group in the world!? It's simply illogical to do such a thing!"
And him? He was not convinced, and of course, he didn't understand why he wasn't rational...
Friends, despite being an educated and intelligent person, I'm not surprised he wasn't convinced. It requires willpower to overcome the tendency to deny the Torah, and it's not related to logical understanding. The simple understanding, that if there is one who created him, then there might be certain demands from him, scares him, and therefore he prefers to live in denial of the facts proving there's a Creator of the incredible world we live in, contrary to logic.
