If someone has a headache during a fast, are they allowed to swallow a pill?
Someone suffering from headaches during a fast is permitted to swallow a pill without water as long as it doesn't have a good taste. If they cannot swallow it without water, they are permitted to take it with a small amount of water [Yalkut Yosef Siman 550, Chazon Ovadia Taaniyot, p. 30].
If someone mistakenly ate during a fast, are they allowed to say "Anenu" in the Mincha prayer?
Someone who accidentally eats during one of the fasts must still complete the fast, but they are not permitted to say "Anenu" in prayer [Chazon Ovadia Taaniyot, p. 76].
Is smoking permitted during a fast?
Smoking is permitted during fasts, except on Tisha B'Av when it is appropriate to refrain. In cases of necessity, it may be permitted even on Tisha B'Av if done privately [Yalkut Yosef Siman 550, ibid, p. 32].
