Essential summer halachic guidelines every observant Jew should know

If one tasted a new fruit and forgot to recite the "Shehecheyanu" blessing, is it permissible to recite it after tasting?

If one ate from the fruit, and afterwards remembered that they did not recite the blessing - it is forbidden to recite "Shehecheyanu", as the blessing was instituted for the sight, and they did not bless upon seeing it nor upon the first taste. Therefore, they should not recite the blessing. However, as long as one is still engaged in the first eating, such as if a cluster of grapes was brought before them and they ate one or two - they are permitted to recite the blessing [Chazon Ovadia page 438].
