Heartfelt: The Prophecy Unfolding Before Our Eyes
Thousands of years ago, when air travel was nonexistent, the Creator promised to gather Israel in a 'straight path.' Read the complete prophecy.

#VALUE!
At a time when the reality was that the people of Israel were in exile, Hashem tells Jeremiah a future prophecy, and it is described as follows: "I am bringing them from the land of the north and gathering them from the ends of the earth. Among them the blind and the lame, the pregnant and the ones giving birth, a great assembly will return here... I will lead them to running waters on a straight path in which they will not stumble." (Jeremiah 31:7-8)
Meaning: Hashem tells Jeremiah the prophet to tell the people of Israel the words of the prophecy - a day will come when I will gather the people of Israel to the land of Israel from all corners of the world.
However, the continuation of the verse is even more astonishing. Hashem promises the prophet that among those who will have the merit to ascend will be the blind, the disabled, pregnant women, and women giving birth. But how can this be? Naturally, such people are not suited for long and tumultuous journeys. (This was during days when transportation means were donkeys, camels, etc.) Moreover, Hashem promises Jeremiah they will arrive in the land in a straight path that would not be a stumbling block for them!
Today, we see that millions of Jews from all over the world are in the land of Israel, thereby fulfilling the prophecy of the ingathering of exiles. And now, it is also understood what was hidden in the verse; for in recent generations, Hashem has given wisdom to humans to invent airplanes, and with airplanes that have the ability to pass on a straight path without obstacles, and to carry within them all those individuals mentioned who could not arrive in any other way, the words of the prophecy are fully understood.
When the prophet Isaiah prophesizes about the ingathering of exiles, he describes the amazement and wonder that the nations will have when they see the Jews returning to their land. His words are: "Who are these that fly like a cloud and like doves to their windows?" (Isaiah 60:8). This is astonishing, as airplanes did not exist yet, and it was hard to understand why those marveling at the immigrants to the land would use exactly this language: "like a cloud they will fly."
