Amazing: Prophetic Words About the End of Days, When Israel Will Rule Another Nation

Baal Ha'Netivot explained that Rabba Bar Bar Chana foresaw through divine inspiration that in the end of days, Israel will govern a certain nation and it will seem there is no hope for this nation against Israel. However, when greatly oppressed, this nation will turn the tables and resist.

"Behold, a people that dwells alone, and will not be reckoned among the nations" (Numbers 23:9)

In the book "Beit Yechiel," there is an excerpt from "Emet L'Yaakov," authored by the Baal Ha'Netivot on the legends of the Talmud, where he elucidates a segment from the stories of Rabba Bar Bar Chana in the fifth chapter of Bava Batra, which holds much relevance for our times, as it appears that Israel dominates the Palestinian people.

Here is the language of the "Beit Yechiel":

In the book "Emet L'Yaakov" on the legends of the Talmud by our teacher Yaakov of Lisa, the author of "Netivot HaMishpat" and "Chavat Da'at," he wrote commentary on the legends of Rabba Bar Bar Chana. One of the stories there is that Rabba Bar Bar Chana sailed with a group of people in the sea, and suddenly they perceived what seemed to them to be dry land.

They climbed onto this island and began to cook and bake there, but in reality, it was a large fish, and when the fish felt the heat from the cooking, it turned over, and the entire group fell into the water. If it were not for the boat being nearby, they would have drowned in the sea.

Baal Ha'Netivot explained that Rabba Bar Bar Chana foresaw through divine inspiration that in the end of days, Israel will govern a certain nation, and it will seem there is no hope for this nation against Israel, leading Israel to subjugate them even more under their control. However, when greatly oppressed, this nation will turn the tables and resist against Israel, and if not for the closeness of the Messiah's arrival, Israel would drown from the multitude of their troubles.

The "Beit Yechiel" continues to write:

I showed this passage from the "Netivot" to my teacher, the genius Rabbi Nachum Partzovitz, of blessed memory, immediately after the Yom Kippur War, and he told me these words were written with divine inspiration, because in the "Netivot"'s time, it was only through prophecy that one could assert that the Jewish people would rule over any nation, something that was inconceivable at that time.

My teacher, the genius Rabbi Nachum, of blessed memory, told me that every time the esteemed Rabbi Baruch Ber, of blessed memory, from Kaminetz mentioned the name of the Netivot, he would say "Dokter Hayliger Netivot" (the holy Netivot), which was not his manner of speaking about any other genius in the generation of the Netivot unless it was about Rabbi Akiva Eiger, as was well known.

Rabbi Yitzchak Zilberstein added: When I showed these words to my brother-in-law, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, he said that the Vilna Gaon interprets this legend as referring to rich Jews who settle among the gentiles and build for themselves grand castles and ivory towers, thinking they already have power and governance over the nations, until they provoke the gentiles who then react and overturn them, causing all those rich individuals to fall back into the sea.
