#VALUE!

It is precisely when there seems to be no hope that we must not give up. As the Rebbe of Shinova taught: A person might think, “If it's just a small amount, I can handle it, no need to worry. But if it’s a large sum, then I should worry.” In reality, it’s the opposite: when facing a small challenge, you should worry a bit, make an effort, and trust in G-d. However, when facing something far beyond your capacity, you should do your best, but don’t worry. Trust completely in G-d.

There is no difference to G-d between a dollar and a billion dollars. If He wills it, and it’s for your good, He will change the course of nature itself to bring you healing and salvation, even when human logic says there's no chance.

Miracles Happen When You Let Go of Logic

During the Hanukkah story, the Maccabees didn’t give up, even though logically there was zero chance they could defeat the massive Greek empire with its huge army, elephants, and advanced weaponry. They set aside logic, relied completely on G-d, and they won—with open miracles.

Real Faith Begins Where Options End

There’s no room for despair when you truly rely on G-d. It’s especially in those moments—when no doctor and no messenger can help—that we see how, if someone puts their trust fully in G-d and refuses to give up, G-d opens doors that no one else can.

How many stories have we heard of patients who lived years longer than doctors predicted? Our sages taught: “Permission was given to doctors to heal”—but as the righteous say, permission was given to heal, not to despair.

How many people were once in deep financial ruin and ended up rebuilding their lives—some even becoming wealthy? How many couples were told they’d never have children—and now hold those very children in their arms? How many single men and women were told to stop hoping for a match—only to later marry someone better than they ever imagined? How many women who suffered through painful divorces found deep happiness in a second marriage?
How many parents wept and prayed over a child who had strayed far—only to see that child return, transformed, through their persistent love, effort, and faith? In every area of life, the message is the same: Never give up.

When G-d Wills It, the Impossible Becomes Possible

Sometimes it’s the very person with no apparent chance who ends up succeeding the most. Consider the example of Dan, the son of Jacob. In the Book of Numbers (26:42–43), the Torah tells us: “These are the children of Dan according to their families…sixty-four thousand four hundred.”

The Chafetz Chaim points out: Benjamin, another son of Jacob, had ten sons (Genesis 46:21), while Dan had only one—Chushim, who was also deaf. And yet, Dan’s descendants became the largest of all the tribes! Benjamin had 45,000 descendants while Dan had over 64,000.

What does this teach us? When G-d desires to bless someone, one child can bring more blessing than ten. The same is true with wealth or success: one person may have little, yet thrive and feel joy; another may have much, yet struggle endlessly.

Ultimately, G-d does it all and He can bring light out of the darkest place—if you trust in Him and never give up.
