#VALUE!

In previous articles, we began detailing the benefits of trusting in Hashem. Now we will detail additional benefits.

Proclaiming Trust to the World

Seventh Benefit - One who trusts in their wisdom and wealth fears that others will discover their secret or attack their livelihood by informing the authorities. Whenever they hear the word 'tax', their heart skips a beat. In contrast, one who trusts in Hashem is not afraid of anyone because of this trust. As King David, peace be upon him, said in Psalms (56:12) "In Hashem I trust, I shall not fear; what can man do to me?" They even convince others to join the circle of trust in the Creator, for no one touches what is destined for another, not even a hairbreadth, even if they are a tax officer.

In Hashem's Hands

Eighth Benefit – Even the world’s richest person, or a ruler governing with an iron fist, fears illnesses, pains, and other troubles whenever they hear of a friend or relative who has fallen ill, they worry "Could this happen to me?" It is said, "Many are the pains of the wicked" but one who trusts in Hashem knows they are in the hands of the Creator, who sends ailments only as atonement or for one's benefit. If they repent fully, Hashem will remove all illness from them, and they have no fear, as the prophet Isaiah (40:31) said, "Those who look to Hashem will renew their strength" and as it says "The trustful in Hashem shall be surrounded by kindness."

Blessed Day by Day

Ninth Benefit – The wealthy might forget the Creator, as they solve issues with thoughts like "How much money will it take to resolve this problem?" This is why it is said of the serpent's curse "all your life you shall eat dust."

Commentators ask: Is it not a great blessing that the serpent's sustenance is abundant, without needing to turn to the Creator? They answer, one who is wealthy and doesn't turn to Hashem in prayer and supplication loses their portion in the World to Come. In contrast, one who trusts in Hashem looks to the heavens every day, confident that sustenance will come for that day, as explained in the Talmud, Yoma, why Hashem gave the manna daily, to teach His people to yearn for their daily sustenance.

Imagine a Jew with a large family of ten children, going to bed at night without knowing if there will be food for the next day. Surely, they look to heaven in trust that the Creator will provide, as many faithful attest that "sustenance comes from His open and generous hand," in miraculous ways surprise each time anew.

Joyful and Good-Hearted

Tenth Benefit - Joy.

A person who does not trust in the Creator finds it hard to experience true joy; they are filled with worries and fears, afraid of terrorists, germs, taxes, worried about their children's safety and their livelihood, fearing being laid off or losing customers. When troubles come, their suffering doubles; they endure pain yet do not understand why it targets them over others.

An anxious person becomes a vessel for their fears, while one who trusts in Hashem is free of worry, as for every fear, they have the answer "The one who trusts in Hashem is surrounded by kindness," thus overflowing with constant joy and their face reflects the joy of Hashem.

A known saying goes "Don't tell Hashem about your troubles, tell your troubles about Hashem." In other words, when your troubles hear about Hashem, they flee in panic, leaving you with your Creator, happy and good-hearted.

The believer knows they are in the trustworthy hands of the Creator, who cares more for them than they do for themselves, and if they cast all doubts onto their Creator, the verse "Cast your burden on Hashem and He will sustain you" will be fulfilled. Even if troubles come, they know in their heart these are for their benefit, to return from poor deeds or to multiply their merits if accepted with love.

The joyous believer fears no terrorists or enemies, confident in their Creator to protect them, trusting that Hashem will save them from others' evil intentions, as King David said in Psalms (56:12) "In Hashem I trust, I shall not fear evil, what can man do to me?"

How wonderful it is to join the Hall of Trust in Hashem and gain all these wonderful benefits detailed above.
