Can Prayer Work 'in Reverse'?

How to strengthen your prayer, even when they are not immediately answered?

#VALUE!

Hello, how can one explain the feeling that sometimes prayer seems to work in reverse? For example, praying for peace in the home and suddenly there is a fight, or praying for someone’s success and then hearing that on that very day they had a problematic day. Thank you.

Greetings,,

Prayer never works in reverse. It’s only the evil inclination that leads one to think this way, to discourage them from continuing to pray..

Imagine a doctor giving a patient antibiotics for an infection that is spreading in their body, and exactly that day their condition worsens. Does it mean the antibiotics made the condition worse? Clearly not, because antibiotics don’t work instantly..

All suffering is decreed for a person from Heaven – even the smallest of suffering. Prayers can only improve the situation, never worsen it..

There are prayers that are not answered immediately, and sometimes a great many prayers are needed to change a difficult situation. There are also instances of an ancient decree meant for correction, and in such cases, prayers help to soften the blow and pain, and assist the individual in other aspects of their life. Every prayer is a merit and always beneficial..

Please see the answer I provided to someone who has returned to religion, praying for livelihood and not being answered, which causes them doubts:
