The Oldest Woman in Spain at 111: "This is What I Drink Every Morning"

Angelina Torres Valbona, a 111-year-old resident of Barcelona, is the oldest woman in Spain. While many search for the secret to a healthy life in old age, Torres believes the answer lies in simple habits. She starts her day with a regular drink – a glass of water with a few drops of lemon juice and a teaspoon of sugar, a routine she says has become an integral part of her life and contributes to her energy and sense of freshness.

She was born on March 18, 1913, into a family characterized by longevity. Her mother lived nearly to 100, and her sister reached 93. According to her, she never suffered from significant illnesses or complex medical treatments. "The doctors hardly ever needed to work on me," she says with a smile, adding that the only treatment she received during her life was aspirin for a cold.

Over the years, Torres developed habits that maintained her physical and mental health.
