Following last week’s signing of the normalization and establishment of relations agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, singer Omer Adam received a special invitation from one of the UAE leaders from the royal family, his name is Hamed bin Khalifa, to visit the palace.

Khalifa sent Adam a special invitation to visit the palace due to a gesture by Adam published about two months ago, where Adam sent blessings and thanks to the UAE leaders as a token of appreciation for their good relations with the Jewish community in Dubai.

In a special video published on social networks, Adam is seen strengthening the heads of the Jewish community in Dubai, led by Solly Wolf, and even thanking the Arab leaders.

"I want to strengthen your hands for all your contributions and for everything you do for the Jewish community. I also want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to two very important people: the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Hamed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, and the leader of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum - thank you very much, I love you. With Hashem's help, we will meet soon in Dubai."

This gesture moved Sheikh Khalifa, who quickly dispatched a special invitation for Adam to visit Dubai.

Currently, about 2,000 Jews live in the Jewish community in Dubai, most of whom lead a religious lifestyle thanks to the government's support. In a conversation with journalist Shlomi Ziontz, a writer for the American Orthodox magazine 'Ami', Solly Wolf, head of the community in Dubai, said that their lifestyle in the country is without fear, thanks to the friendly attitude of the authorities towards the community. "On Shabbat we pray for the leaders, the state, and the army," Wolf stated in an interview.

According to him, a new Talmud Torah was opened in Dubai about two months ago, attended by about 40 children from Jewish families, all of whom wear special yarmulkes with the words 'Talmud Torah Dubai' embroidered in English. As part of the supportive attitude of the Emirate leaders, the Jews will soon inaugurate a new mikveh purity, and also the synagogue which has been standing for years, holds prayers regularly on Shabbat and holidays. The place also offers kosher slaughter and regular Torah classes.

Ziontz previously interviewed pro-Israel billionaire Khalaf Ahmad al-Habtoor, known for his warm relations with Jews, a stance that has often sparked anger in the Arab world because of it. Al-Habtoor was among the first to call for the establishment of good relations with Israel, saying "Arabs and Jews are cousins, and it’s foolish for cousins to fight each other. We in the Gulf states must publicly say that we want to establish relations with Israel."

In response, a great uproar often arose from anti-Israel elements who sought to silence him, arguing that his children are 'Zionists' and 'Israelis', but al-Habtoor did not back down and did not retract his words. "The world needs to know that we want the future with Israel, and we want peace. Israel exists and is a done fact, and we need to deal with it."
