Avner Netanyahu, the son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is known for maintaining a traditional lifestyle. Recently, he publicly expressed this during his participation in the quiz show "The Chase," when asked which animal never stops growing throughout its life.
Netanyahu was given three options and responded by saying that he believed it was the lobster – a non-kosher seafood from the crustacean family, which is very popular among non-Jews worldwide.
The show's host, Ido Rosenblum, jokingly remarked that he felt hungry upon hearing about the lobster. Netanyahu did not hesitate for a moment to express his distaste for the food, quickly responding: "I did not get hungry, it's not kosher."
Netanyahu, the 25-year-old son of the Prime Minister and his wife Sarah, is remembered for participating nine years ago in the International Bible Quiz for Youth, where he demonstrated great knowledge that led him to win third place. It was previously published that he regularly studies Torah and strictly observes Shabbat and kosher laws. On Shabbat, he is accustomed to attending prayers at the Great Synagogue in Jerusalem. About six years ago, during a visit to China, Avner was observed putting on tefillin in the middle of the street. On the last Remembrance Day for the Fallen of Israel's Wars, he repeated this public act, putting on tefillin at the Chabad stand at the entrance to Mount Herzl in the capital, in front of thousands who arrived at the cemetery.
