The following amazing story was shared by Dr. Orlin, a physician serving as the director of the blood bank at the 'Maayanei Hayeshua' medical center in Bnei Brak.

For many years, Dr. Orlin lived in California until he decided to make Aliyah with his wife.

During his last visit to California, Dr. Orlin met with three of his colleagues - all prominent Jewish doctors residing near each other. As is his customary way, Dr. Orlin chose sacred items - a beautiful and elegant mezuzah for each of his friends, valued at around $70 each.

However, when Dr. Orlin presented the beautiful gift to his friends, each reacted differently: The first doctor refused to accept the gift, belittled the mezuzah, and said he had no connection to these matters.

The second doctor agreed to accept the gift but emphasized that he did not intend to place the mezuzah at the entrance of his house.

The third doctor was overjoyed with the gift and not only agreed to place the beautiful mezuzah at the entrance of his home but also kissed it and sincerely thanked Dr. Orlin for the lovely gift.

Not two weeks passed, and a severe hurricane struck California.

Entire sections of the state were simply wiped out, leaving tens of thousands without a roof over their heads.

Local media that covered the hurricane noted it was one of the state's worst disasters, unseen in many years.

And what happened to the homes of the three doctors living close to each other? More amazing than you can imagine: The house of the first doctor who disrespected the 'Jewish' gift and refused to accept it was completely destroyed. Nothing remained of his magnificent villa but painful memories.

The second doctor's house suffered minor damages but remained standing and was not completely destroyed.

Meanwhile, the third doctor's house, who received the mezuzah with joy, thanked, and placed it on his door - was not harmed at all.
