Professor Rafi Carasso Reveals His Daily Routine That Helped Him Lose 22 kg

He shares that he has already lost 22 kg and now tries to eat fewer carbohydrates and sugars, more stir-fried vegetables, proteins, some meat, chicken, and fish, and hardly any eggs. 'I almost entirely avoid dairy products,' he states.

Professor Carasso begins his dietary routine with a slice of whole wheat bread topped with a thin layer of raw tahini and a cup of black coffee without sugar. 'On filming days, I eat nothing, maybe a sandwich, because I need the blood in my brain, not my stomach. When I eat, I eat; it's not something small,' he tells 'ynet'. 'On other days, I might grab something — sometimes a half falafel pita, though that's rare. Occasionally, I'll have a can of tuna with cherry tomatoes or a can of sweet corn, peas, and beans.'

And what about water? You won't find a forced or obsessive water-drinking regimen with Professor Carasso. 'I drink when I remember or when I see my urine is too dark,' he says.

It turns out he also has thoughts on fitness. 'I think running is unhealthy, and I don't go for walks because when I get home, I'm very tired,' he explains. 'In the morning, I'd rather sleep an extra half hour than wake up early, but once a week, a trainer comes to my place, and with them, I do mainly strength and muscle exercises for a full hour.'
