#VALUE!
Even in the middle of one of life’s hardest struggles—paralyzed, lying in a hospital bed, connected to a ventilator, and completely dependent on doctors and machines—Alon Paz continues to inspire with his deep faith and gentle strength.
Instead of falling into despair, he chooses to see meaning in his pain. He believes that everything that happens to us is for a reason—and that reason is ultimately for our own good.
In one of his heartfelt posts, Alon shares a beautiful example to help us understand our challenges. He writes:
"A person is like a carpet. Every carpet is made of different materials—some are thin and soft, some are thick and strong. When you want to clean a carpet, you have to beat it to shake off the dust. A delicate carpet needs just a light shake. A medium one needs a bit more strength. And a big, heavy carpet needs a strong beating to get truly clean. But with every carpet, you’re careful not to damage it—you do exactly what it can handle, no more.”
He explains: “Hashem treats each of us this way. Every person is given just the amount of hardship they can bear. Not to hurt them—but to cleanse their soul, to help them grow. This world is temporary. The next world—the World of Truth—is eternal. Hashem wants to help us arrive there as pure as possible, and close to Him.”
“Hashem is a loving and kind Father,” Alon writes. “I believe this with all my heart. And that belief gives me the strength to go through what I’m going through.”
Even in his difficult state, Alon chooses to see goodness. “I try to sweeten the judgment,” he writes, “to thank Hashem, to sing to Him. I accept the hard just as I accept the good. I thank Him for the past, for the present, and even for the future—even though I don’t know what it will bring—because I trust that everything He gives me is for my benefit.”
Alon's words remind us that even in pain, we are not alone. Every soul has a purpose. Every trial has meaning. And through it all, Hashem is gently holding us, guiding us closer to Him with love.
