Maya Oz Steiner is a mother of triplet girls in Israel—and recently, she shared a touching and funny glimpse into her life that made many people smile and tear up.

“To those raising one child, or twins, or even two kids close in age,” she wrote, “let me tell you what it’s like raising triplets.”

She began by remembering the early days, right after her girls were born. “We painted each one’s tiny nails a different color in the NICU, because we honestly couldn’t tell who was who. That was the only way to keep track!”

From there, life became a whirlwind. “We kept a full Excel sheet—who ate when, who slept when. One box of formula a day. A mountain of diapers. We bought wipes in bulk straight from the factory. On Black Friday, I ordered 50 packs of diapers, and the supplier actually called to ask if it was a mistake. Then they delivered a whole pallet to our door!”

She continued with more everyday adventures. “We know all the freight elevators at every mall—because when your stroller is as long as a train, that’s the only way to get around. And every time I buy children’s medicine, I have to show my ID because no one believes one family could need that much. I have to explain to the girls not to insult each other by saying the third sister is ‘ugly’—because they’re identical!”

Maya also shared sweet details: “I pray every time that each Kinder egg has the same surprise inside. If not, it’s chaos. On birthdays, I bake nine cakes—one for each girl, for school, for family, for friends. And now that they’re in first grade, they’re in three different classes. It’s like I have a little representative in each room.”

She smiled, “Most people have me saved in their phone as ‘Maya - Triplets.’”

But what touched her most is the deep connection her daughters share. “They feel each other’s feelings. Even the third one. They have a bond I’ll never fully understand.”

As our sages teach, "Whoever raises a child—especially with kindness—is considered as if they’ve built a world." Maya is doing just that, one beautiful day at a time.
