A Hospital Ceiling Collapsed And Hashem Saved Her Just in Time

A deeply moving post shared recently by a young mother named Shani Boham touched hearts in a way words can barely describe. In it, Shani opened up about the miraculous rescue of her five-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Lian, after a long and painful medical journey that began last Purim.

“I went through a year and a half filled with tests, uncertainty, and constant worry about her,” Shani shared. “Doctors suspected she might have a rare form of that terrible illness, the kind only two specialists in all of Israel know how to treat.”

By the mercy of Hashem, things began to change this Purim. “Thank God, blessed be His Name, it wasn’t the illness they feared. I don’t think anyone could be happier than I was at that moment,” Shani wrote, remembering the relief and joy she felt when the nightmare seemed to end.

But just a few months later, in May, Lian went in for a routine tonsil and polyp surgery. “It was a simple procedure,” Shani explained, “and baruch Hashem (thank God), everything went smoothly.”

The doctors told her that only one night in the hospital would be needed. That night, Shani lay beside her daughter in the hospital bed, watching her little one suffer in pain and praying silently for her to feel better soon.

Then suddenly without warning a deafening crash shook the hospital room.

“Out of nowhere,” Shani said, “a huge piece of heavy plaster from the ceiling came crashing down. It landed just a centimeter from my daughter’s head.”

Stunned and terrified, Shani rushed out into the hall, holding the enormous chunk of plaster and showing it to the nurses, who were just as shocked.

“This was an open miracle,” she said. “I thank Hashem with all my heart for watching over my most precious treasure.”
