Senior Hezbollah officials have undergone plastic surgery to disguise their faces as a precaution against Israeli airstrikes, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hadath channel reported Sunday night. According to the report, which cited sources close to the organization, dozens of senior figures who were previously targeted by Israeli drones have received facial reconstruction procedures.
The report said that many of those treated had been injured in earlier attacks but survived, and now fear further Israeli attempts on their lives. In addition, commanders who were not physically harmed have also undergone cosmetic operations. The surgeries were reportedly performed in Iran and Iraq under the supervision of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, after the officials were evacuated from Lebanon. Only those who could not be transferred abroad were operated on in Hezbollah-owned clinics inside Lebanon.
“Dozens of urgent cosmetic surgeries for Hezbollah fighters and commanders wounded in Israeli drone strikes are being carried out in Iran and in secret clinics under Revolutionary Guard supervision,” Al-Hadath reported, adding that the broadcast featured shadowed interviews with several Hezbollah members.
The revelation comes roughly a year after the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah took effect in Lebanon. Despite that agreement, the terrorist organization remains a central target for Israeli intelligence and air operations. The IDF continues daily strikes across southern Lebanon, aimed at enforcing the ceasefire, destroying Hezbollah infrastructure, and eliminating senior operatives seeking to rebuild the group’s military capabilities.
Although the Lebanese government formally decided that Hezbollah must transfer its weapons to the Lebanese arm, implementation has been slow. Both Israel and the United States have expressed frustration over the lack of enforcement, while the IDF has intensified strikes on Hezbollah positions and mid-level commanders involved in rearming efforts along the border.
The mounting Israeli pressure, combined with repeated assassinations of field commanders and intelligence operatives, has reportedly instilled deep fear within Hezbollah’s upper ranks. According to the Al-Hadath report, even senior figures who have not been directly targeted are now taking drastic personal security measures, including altering their physical appearance, in an effort to avoid recognition and potential assassination.
