Unlike other biblical sites whose identifications are uncertain, the biblical Haran is definitively identified with the village currently situated on the Turkey-Syria border, still known today as Haran.

I've always been fascinated by biblical journeys. Since childhood, I've imagined the places where our patriarchs were born and acted - Padan Aram, Aram Naharaim, Ur of the Chaldeans, and more. As I grew up, I was fortunate to visit these places several times.

Haran, in particular, stirred something special in me. The journey to Haran is like traveling through a time tunnel back thousands of years.

In the village center, among the unique cone-shaped homes made from mud and straw typical to Haran, locals can identify the site of Sarah's Tent. The foundations of this relatively newer building are paved with large, ancient stones dating back thousands of years.

Is this the house - Sarah's Tent? It's not clear. What is certain is that the remnants are those of the biblical Haran.
