#VALUE!
During the year 1993, there was a significant escalation in fighting within the security zone in northern Israel. An increasing number of incidents with Hezbollah resulted in a high number of casualties for the Israeli Defense Forces, prompting the decision to initiate an operation aimed at removing the civilian population of northern Israel's settlements from the conflict zone.
The operation, called "Operation Accountability," was launched on the 7th of Av, 1993, and was nicknamed the "Seven-Day War" in Lebanon. IDF forces operated within Lebanon, carrying out several shelling operations.
The operation concluded after seven days of combat, following agreements reached between Israel and Hezbollah, which maintained peace in the region for approximately three years.
