#VALUE!
Exodus was a refugee ship managed by the Haganah organization, departing from southern France towards Israel with 4,515 Holocaust survivors on board—men, women, and children.
Upon arrival at the shores of Israel, the ship was intercepted by British destroyers. Unlike other refugee ships, which were typically redirected to Cyprus, Britain chose to enforce a new decision made just days prior—to send this ship back to its departure point.
Ultimately, on the 3rd of Av 5707, the refugee ship Exodus was sent back to a displaced persons camp in Germany, following a tragic struggle between the ship's passengers and the British soldiers.
