Lemon Remedy: How This Citrus Drink Can Soothe Almost Any Cough
We use lemons to season salads and various dishes, sometimes placing a small slice in a cup of tea. But do we truly understand just how effective lemon can be against coughs, sore throats, and winter illnesses?

Winter pleasantly surprised us with storms, rains, and winds. Yet, if we could enjoy the rainy season without the viruses, illnesses, and stubborn coughs, we would gladly do so.
This traditional remedy — essentially a hot, steaming tea — is worth preparing daily. Drinking two cups a day throughout winter provides strong antibacterial support that can help conquer even the most persistent cough. It’s a great idea to prepare a large jug and serve it to the whole family in the morning and evening.
Why Lemon Is So Powerful
Lemons have antibacterial properties and contain iron and Vitamin A. Even the lemon peel is highly nutritious. The combination of lemon peel and lemon juice helps detoxify the liver and cleanse the body, lungs, and respiratory system.
