• Use a play item like a stress ball or a Rubik's cube. The activity and play distract and refocus your attention elsewhere.
• Hug a child who is close and dear. The oxytocin released helps with relaxation.
• Go for a walk in the park or in a room with an open window, breathe fresh air, and relax.
• Pay detailed attention to something beautiful in your surroundings, like a beautiful flower, a picture, an album, or of course, a baby.
• Massage your forehead with your fingers to the temple area, rub the temples in a circular motion while applying pressure, and continue to place your hands on your head and massage the scalp with your fingers in circular motions. This helps relieve tension.
• Exercise, do gym workouts, aerobics – it greatly benefits mood.
• Smile and laugh as much as possible. Call a family member with a sense of humor and talk about funny things.
• Eat something sweet like dates. They calm and raise serotonin levels and contain a large amount of magnesium known to ease tension. Do not consume more than 3 dates a day.
• Imagine something you desire, like a dream vacation or a beach (if possible, visit an actual beach). Try to smell, breathe, and see it.
• You can take "Rescue" drops during stress, 3 drops every 15 minutes, as well as calcium-magnesium supplements before bedtime, which calm and induce sleep.
• For anxiety and fears, you can take "Be Positive" capsules from the "Treema Vera" company (not during pregnancy).
• Brew an infusion from passionflower, linden, and lemon balm leaves. Mix 50 grams of each type, place a teaspoon of the mixture into a cup of boiling water, wait 10 minutes, strain, and drink up to 3 cups a day.
• Take Omega 3, a very important fatty acid for brain function and hormonal balance – 1,000 mg EPA. Omega 3 is also found in salmon, sardines, halibut, mackerel, cod, and tuna.
